Mumbai, Nov 8 (UNI) The High Level Coordination Committee on Financial Markets (HLCCFM) met here yesterday to review the impact of the global financial turmoil on the Indian financial sector and the action taken to address the emerging issues.
The meeting chaired by RBI Governor D Subbarao also reviewed the policy agenda on the way forward.
The Committee is a high level forum for interface among the Financial sector regulators.
The participants included Union finance Secretary Arun Ramanathan, Secretary Economic Affairs Ashok Chawla, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Chairman C B Bhave, Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) Chairman J Harinarayan and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance, RBI, SEBI and IRDA.
