2 held for murder of little girl
Tirupati, Nov 8 (UNI) Police today arrested two people, including the uncle of nine-year-old Ayesha who was allegedly abducted and killed for ransom on thursday.
Producing the two accused before the press, Assistant Superintendent of Police R N Ammi Reddy said the girl's uncle Habib (30) confessed to the murder.
He had committed the act with the help of his two friends- Narasimha and Sivaiah of Rajampet in Kadapa District.
During interrogation, Habib said he kidnapped the girl for ransom. Later, he murdered her and left the body in a lorry at Ramalayam, near the West Police Station.
While Narasimha was arrested at Rajampet, Sivaiah was absconding.
A search was on for him.
Habib and Narasimha were produced before the court in the evening Meanwhile, condemning the incident, various students' organisations under the aegis of SFI, Praja Rajyam party (PRP) and Lok Satta Party observed silent march and staged a protest rally in the temple town against the brutal killing demanding death penalty for the accused.
