Two VROs arrested, one convicted in ACB cases
Hyderabad, Nov 7 (UNI) Kamalapuram Village Revenue Officer Jupaka Mogili, holding additional charge of Pambapur and Rampur villages, was arrested by the ACB officials today for accepting Rs 2000 as bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour.
The accused was caught red-handed by the officials while accepting the bribe at his residence at Jawahar Colony in Bhoopalpally mandal of Warangal district. The amount was recovered from the accused, a press release here said.
The accused would be produced before the Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Hyderabad.
In another case, Kalivemula Village Revenue Officer Bakshi Rammohan Rao from Medak District was arrested by the ACB officials while accepting Rs 5,000 as bribe from the complainant for doing an official favour of making entry of the land purchase particulars of the complainant in the revenue Records.
The amount was recovered from the accused, who would be produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, the State Government permanently withheld full pension and gratuity of former Vailpur Mandal Revenue Officer D V R N Chary following his conviction in a trap case, the release further added.
