NSUI claims need of students' union polls
Jaunpur, Nov 7 (UNI) Terming the students' union poll ''important,'' the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) today warned of an aggressive protest, if the election were not held at all places.
NSUI president Naddem Javed here talking to scribes said efforts should be made to conduct the students' union poll at those places, where permission was not granted.
If the process was not initiated, the students would stage a vociferous protest for their demand, he asserted.
Launching a scathing attack on Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray for his anti-North Indian harangue, Mr Javed said, ''anyone can stay anywhere.'' His utterances were meant to create differences on the basis of statehood, the NSUI president added.
The Maharashtra and the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) led-central government were, however, making efforts to tackle the situation, he claimed.
