Delhiites feel dry spell as winter sets in
New Delhi, Nov 7 (UNI) The National capital continued to experience a dry spell today with minimum temperature at 13.7 degrees Celsius and maximum at 30.6 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal.
According to Met officials, at present, there was no western disturbance which could affect the weather in Delhi and its surrounding regions. ''Due to prevalence of northwesterly dry winds, the maximum and minimum temperatures may fall slightly and hover between 31 degrees Celsius and 14 degrees Celsius respectively,'' they said.
However, high pollution levels and smoke in the evening led to heavy smog conditions. ''The humidity levels were 92-34 per cent.
Mixing with smoke and pollutant particles led to hazy conditions and low visibility. The moisture, however, in the air is not sufficient for fog formation,'' weather department official added.
The weather department has forecast mainly clear sky in next 24 hours. Mist and fog, however, may hang over in the air early in the morning tomorrow, officials added.
