Cong candidate bribed voters in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, Nov 7 (UNI) A case was registered today under the Representation of the People Act against Leader of the Opposition in Chhattisgarh Assembly Mahendra Karma who allegedly bribed voters.
Mr Karma is contesting Dantewada assembly constituency as a Congress candidate.
''The Election Commission of India (ECI) took cognisance of a photograph and report in a national English daily. On the ECI's directive, Dantewada's District Returning Officer had a case registered. A show cause notice was issued against Mr Karma,'' Deputy Electoral Officer Arvind Dixit told UNI here today.
