Advani's autobiography in Kannada released in Bangalore
Bengaluru, Nov 7: The Kannanda version 'Nanna Desha, Nanna Jeevana,' translated by Vijaya Karnataka Executive Managing Editor Vishweshwara Bhat, was released by Infosys Chief Mentor N R Narayanamurthy.
Former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani is very passionate about movies. He made it a point to watch movies when his party candidates lost in elections. Advani recalls, “I and Atal Behari Vajpayee share the same taste for movies. After a BJP candidate was defeated in Ajmer municipal elections years ago, both of us went to watch 'Fir Subah Hoga,' an adaption of the Russian novel Crime and Punishment. Trust me, watching the movie helped us to relieve the sadness".
The senior BJP leader was in the city to release the Kannada version of his autobiography 'My Country, My Life' on Tuesday Nov 4. He said Jana Sangh leader Deen Dayal Upadhyay"s life and writings inspired him to write this autobiography which speaks more about the nation than the person.
The Kannanda version 'Nanna Desha, Nanna Jeevana,' translated by Vijaya Karnataka Executive Managing Editor Vishweshwara Bhat, was released by Infosys Chief Mentor N R Narayanamurthy. Advani appreciated the coincidence that the Kannada version was released at a time when Kannada had received classical language status.
