Two batallions of IRB, Haryana to man Chattisgarh polls
Chandigarh, Nov 6 (UNI) Election Commission of India has deputed ten Companies of First and Second Indian Reserve Battalion of Haryana to hold the up coming Chattisgarh Assembly election.
A spokesman of the Haryana Police said that the Companies headed by one Commandant, the 1198 members of force with arms including two Assistant Commandant, nine Deputy Superintendents of Police, 13 inspectors, 50 NGO's, 222 Head Constables, 835 Constables, one Doctor, nine Pharmacists and 57 Class-IV of the both Battalions were likely to reach there tomorrow.
He said that the force was fully equipped with anti-riots equipments, bullet proof jackets, night vision devices, bomb disposal equipments to cope with any unforeseen incident and to maintain law and order.
An advance team had already reached there for liaison and making arrangements of stay of the force at Chattisgarh.
