Agartala, Nov 6: Tripura government has submitted a comprehensive report to the Union Home Ministry on terrorist's backing to militant outfits in the region especially Assam based ULFA and Tripura based ATTF, state Home department sources here on Thursday, Nov 6 said. Referring to intelligence reports and confessional statements of the miscreants arrested in connection with Agartala serial blasts, the state authority had indicated the influence of Jihadi outfits in a recent terror attacks while stressed on the need of better sharing of information of inputs at ground level in order to deal with the external forces.
According to report, the issue was also discussed in a high-level security review meeting yesterday chaired by National security advisor M K Narayanan on the north-east with police chiefs of the region.
It was also revealed in the meeting that the incidents in Assam were reportedly carried out by the Bangladesh-based HuJI in coordination with local outfit ULFA and serial bomb blasts in Agartala were attributed to All Tripura Tiger Force-ULFA combine.
The report also states that Pakistan based ISI, Al-Qaida and Bangladesh-based HUJI activists were using Sonamura, Agartala and Kailashahar in Tripura and Karimganj and towns of upper Assam for entering into India, most of them without passport.
