Melbourne, Nov 6 (UNI) Embattled all-rounder Andrew Symonds has received the thumbs-up from sports psychologists and the Australian is all set to make a return to Test cricket against New Zealand for the first Test that begins on November 20.
Symonds was dropped from the Australian team touring India after he missed a compulsory team meeting and instead went for fishing during the home series against Bangladesh.
The burly all-rounder was advised to undergo rehabilitation programme which was looked after by sports psychologist Phil Jauncey and other specialists.
However, Symonds ouster from the team did not go well with the team as Australia was found struggling in their ongoing the tour of India.
Cricket Australia is well aware of Symond's expertise and is therefore, desperate for the all-rounder to make a return.
''We want him back as soon as possible,'' a CA source was quoted as saying by the Daily Telegraph. ''He has done pretty much everything required of him.'' UNI XC RAR RKM KN1620
