Precious metals open down on bullish advice

Mumbai, Nov 6: Both the precious metals declined in the opening session on Thursday, Nov 6, with silver falling marginally by Rs 30 to Rs 17,465 per kg and gold by Rs 125 per ten gm to Rs 11,620, on sustained heavy selling pressure by ornament makers, traders in the Bombay Bullion Association said.

In London too, a downward trend was seen in the precious metals, as gold was quoted low at USD 739.00/739.50 (750.00/751.25) per troy ounce, while silver was quoted at USD 10.33/10.34 (10.35/10.36) per troy ounce respectively. Following are the spot silver and gold closing prices: Silver (per kg) .999 grade: Rs 17,465 Gold (per 10 gm): Standard mint 99.5 purity: Rs 11,620 Pure gold 99.9 purity: Rs 11,690.
