'Initiate action against V Narayanaswamy'

Puducherry, Nov 6: Strongly criticising the Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Planning, V Narayanasamy, the French India Viduthalai Kaala Makkal Nala Iyyakkam on Thursday, Nov 6 urged the government to initiate action against Mr Narayansamy for preventing the hoisting of the national flag on Nov 1, to celebrate its independence day.

Talking to newspersons here, president of the movement D Sivaraj alleged that at the instigation of Mr Narayanasamy, the police prevented the movement from hoisting the tricolour at the Goubert square here .

Congratulating the Communist Party of India (CPI), for hoisting tricolour at several areas on November one to mark the independence day of Puducherry, Mr Sivaraj said the movement had sent 100 fax messages to the President, Prime Minsiter, Mrs Sonia Gandhi and Mr Rahul Gandhi to initiate action against Mr Narayanasamy.

The movement is striving for the cause of the people who opted for Indian citizenship at the time of the merger of Puducherry with the Indian Union.
