Tata to expand operations in South-East Asia

{image-Tata Communications_05112008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Mumbai, Nov 5: Communications provider Tata Communications will expand its Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) operations in the fast-paced South-East Asian markets, including the Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand.

The company already has presence at over 120 points within India and network presence in other countries of the region like China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia and Sri Lanka, said a company release on Wednesday, Nov 5. The company's MPLS reach spans over 65 countries and with Extended Access Service, a service included broadband access and IPSec integration, to over 150 countries, the release added. Tata Com is also constructing a TGN-Intra Asia cable system that will offer a direct link between Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong, avoiding the earthquake zones around Taiwan.
