Special Trains during Sabarimala season
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 5 (UNI) To clear the extra rush of passengers during the Sabarimala season, the Southern Railways will run special trains between Chennai and Kochiveli.
The Chennai Central-Kochuveli special will leave Chennai Central at 1515 hrs on Thursday from Novermber 13 to December 25 and arrive at Kochuveli at 0730 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, train will leave from here at 1100 hrs on Fridays from November 14 to December 26.
Another Chennai Central-Kochuveli special will leave Chennai Central at 1515 hrs on Fridays, Mondays and Wednesdays from Novermber 14 to December 29 and arrive in Kochuveli at 0730 hrs, the next day. In the return direction, the train will leave Kochuveli at 1100 hrs on Saturdays Tuesdays and Thursdays from Novermber 15 to December 30 and arrive at Chennai Central at 0450 hrs, the next day.
Both the special trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palghat,Trichur, Alwaye, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Chenganacherry, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayankulam, Quilon and Varkala, according to a SR press release here.
