Sanaa Bhambri ousts Korean in 2nd round of ITF Women's Circuit

Chandigarh, Nov 5 (UNI) Delhi-based fifth seeded Sanaa Bhambri overcame the challenge of Korea's Jung-Yoon Shin in straight sets 6-4 6-3 in the second round match of the dollar 10,000 Bhavana Swarup ITF Women's Circuit here today.

Unseeded Parul Goswami pulled off a mild upset by beating seventh seed Parija in three sets 6-4 6-7(5) 6-0 in an all-India second round affair. In another clash between two Indians, Fourth seed Rushmi Chakravarthi ousted Sweta Solanki in straight sets 6-2 6-1.

Down by one set, sixth seeded Emily Webley-Smith of Great Britain overcame a stiff resistance from Iuliia Kiriienko of Ukraine 1-6 7-5 6-3, while top seeded Nicole Thyssen (Ned) showed the door to China's Chun-Yan He in straight sets 6-3 6-2.
