Pondy: Parties demand arrest of YC President
Puducherry, Nov 5 (UNI) As many as 16 political parties and social organisations today sought the immediate arrest of Youth Congress President Pandiyan and others, who created trouble at the venue of the fast by the organisations recently to condemn the killing of Tamils in Sri Lanka.
In a joint press release here, they alleged that as Home Minister E Valsaraj was acting against Tamil sentiments, he should resign.
They said the parties and organisations would chalkout the next course of action to protect the interest of ethnic Tamils in the island nation and sought the support of Tamils here.
Representatives of the VCK, MDMK, RJD, BSP and Federation for People's Rights, who signed the joint memorandum.
