National Tug of War Championship to begin on Nov 7

Chandigarh, Nov 5 (UNI) The 17th National Tug Of War Championship for men and women will be organised at Haripura village in Sirsa district from November 7 - 8 by the Haryana State Tug of War Association (HSTWA) under the aegis of AITWF.

As many as 550 sportspersons of 42 Tug of War teams from all over the country would participate in the championship, said All India Tug of War Federation Secretary General H S Bhadu.

During the closing ceremony of the champiionship an exhibition match of Circle Style Kabaddi Between Haryana and Punjab would also be organised.

Mr Bhadu further informed that the general body meeting of AITWF will held at Haripur village on November 7 in which the new office bearers of the federation will be elected for the next term of four years.
