GM launches 'Chevrolet Tavera NEO 2'

Chennai, Nov 5 (UNI) General Motors India today launched the new 'Chevrolet Tavera', a Multi-Utility Vehicle (MUV), in the city.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Karl Slym, President and Managing Director, General Motors India said, "The new Tavera is one of the most fuel efficient vehicles in its class. It combines 'trouble-free' performance with comfortable passenger accomodation." With nearly 98 per cent of localisation, Tavera was competitively priced at Rs 9.58 lakh, against more than Rs 11 lakh for Innova, he claimed.

The new vehicle had proven itself over the years to be a hihgly reliable, comfortable and fuel efficent vehicle, he said adding "the Tavera NEO 2 has been upgraded inside and outside based on the feedback of valued Chevrolet consumers." Designed and readied after listening to the customers as a result of the feedback, the new vehicle offered low maintenance and running costs, he claimed.

"Because of its high-level local content, replacement parts are competitively priced and readily made available through GM's nationwide distribution network," he said.
