CPI(M) begins campaign against terrorism and communalism
Shimla, Nov 5 (UNI) The Shimla District committee of CPI(M) today commenced its week-long campaign against terrorism and communalism in the country.
This campaign will be organised in the form of public meetings, open rallies, leaflet distribution and holding of seminars.
A mass protest demonstration was held at the DC office here today as part of the campaign. Later, the party (M) activists marched in a procession through the Lower Bazar and the procession culminated in a mass street corner meeting at Naaz.
The public meeting, amongst others, was addressed by Rakesh Singha, Secretary of the state committee of the CPI (M), Dr Onkar Shad, Tikender Singh Panwar and Dr Kashmir Thakur, members of the state secretariat of the party. Sanjay Chauhan the district secretary of the party also spoke at the meeting.
The speakers lambasted the UPA government for its inept handling of issues like terrorism and communalism. The speakers condemned the recent bombs explosions in various parts of the country.
