Cong, BJP candidates raise objection over each other's nomination

Korba, CG, Nov 5 (UNI) Congress and BJP candidates from Korba assembly Constituency in Chhattisgarh have raised objection over each other's nomination.

When district returning officer Ashok Agrawal began the process of scrutiny of nomination papers yesterday, BJP candidate Banwarilal Agrawal objected to Congress nominee Jai Singh Agrawal alleging that the latter had not provided complete details of his property.

Besides, he was a government contractor and was not eligible for contesting elections under the Representation of the People Act.

On the other hand, the Congress candidate demanded cancellation of BJP nominee's nomination for providing incomplete details of his property and presenting false affidavit in the High Court.

The DRO, after considering objection of both candidates has fixed this afternoon for providing reply and resolving of objection.
