B'lore to be part of Futsal Friendzy tour

Bangalore, Nov 5 (UNI) The city leg of Futsal Friendzy, the first national 5-a-side football tournament, would begin here on November 30.

A tournament to be played in 45 cities, Futsal Friendzy is based on a new, fast-paced and shorter version of football, United Sprits Business Head Mathew Xavier said.

Speaking to mediapersons today, he said Futsal is played between team of five players, one of whom will be the goal keeper, on a smaller area and a smaller ball that bounced less.

The winner of the tournament would play against I-League Giant, McDowell Mohun Bagan, in the grand finale, he added.
