Sagar, MP, Nov 5 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party's Madhya Pradesh unit Vice-President and Sagar MLA Sudha Jain, who is incensed over not being granted an assembly poll ticket, today announced that she would contest the hustings as an independent.
BJP District President Shailendra Jain was preferred over Ms Jain for Sagar, a seat she won thrice consecutively.
''I had begun campaigning after the high command assured me of a ticket but a conspiracy by political mafia deprived me of the ticket. Trumped-up surveys and fake records were submitted against me. I will submit nomination papers on November 7 and will not withdraw my name no matter what the circumstances,'' alleged Ms Jain.
Meanwhile, Mr Jain hoped that Ms Jain would comply with party directives.
