ABB bags USD 34 Million order from Azerbaijan State Power Utility
Bangalore, Nov 5 (UNI) ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, has won a US Dollar 34 Million order from Azerbaijan's state power utility, AzerEnerji, to supply turnkey substations and power systems that will ensure reliable power for the metal industry in Gyandja City.
As per order ABB will deliver air and gas insulated substations and two units of gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) as well as breakers, instrument transformers and surge arresters and a MicroSCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system that will monitor and control the substations, according to a release here today.
ABB Power Systems Division Head Peter Leupp said that the company recently completed a substation delivery for AzerEnerji.
The deliveries, against the order booked in June this year, would begin in late 2008. ABB will be responsible for installation and the commissioning, which is planned for April 2009.
