YCL, YF must be dissolved: Nepalese Home Minister
Kathmandu, Nov 4 : Nepalese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bamdev Gautam on Tuesday called for immediate dissolution of the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M) youth front Young Communist League (YCL) and the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML) affiliated Youth Force (YF).
He said that "The YCL and the YF have been carrying out their activities taking law into their hands at different parts of the country, so they must be dissolved."
Though Gautam, who is also a UML standing committee member, demanded the dissolution of his party's sister organization also, the UML's formal opinion regarding this matter has not come yet.
According to Kantipur, he said in another context that the Army Integration Special Committee will be given a complete shape after discussing with the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC).
He expressed hopes that the Nepali Congress would join the special committee.
The Home Minister urged the main opposition party not to be misled by the amendment to the Terms of Reference (ToR) for integration committee as it has been made by adhering to the spirits of agreement among the seven parties.
He informed that the joint committee of the Maoists and the UML formed recently has forwarded talks in this regard. The Maoists are positive to include the Nepali Congress in the joint committee, he added.
