Bilaspur, Nov 4 (UNI) Former Ambikapur Mayor Tribhuvaneshwar Sharan Singhdeo, who has been fielded by the Congress from Ambikapur assembly seat in Sarguja district, is the richest candidate in Chhattisgarh with assets totalling Rs 187 crore, while former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi is way behind his wife Renu Jogi as far as assets are concerned.
Mr Singhdeo, inheritor of Sarguja Royalty, is son of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary M S Singhdeo.
In the affidavit submitted along with his nomination, Mr Singhdeo has shown value of property inherited from his ancestors to Rs 180.32 crore. The value of self-earned house, shop and petrol pump has been shown as Rs 3.83 crore. Besides, he owns other property worth Rs 1.77 crore.
He possesses deposits of Rs 2.39 crore in several banks apart from three four-wheelers worth Rs 25 lakh. He owes Rs 5.95 crore to various institutions and persons.
Mr Jogi, who is contesting from Marwahi seat in Bilaspur district, has declared assets worth about Rs 1.40 crore, while his wife Renu Jogi has declared assets worth over Rs 2.5 crore.
Besides owning a multi-utility vehicle, Ms Jogi has Rs 13.20 lakh in bank, while Mr Jogi has Rs 5.53 lakh.
Separate declarations had been made about joint family property in their affidavits, which includes property owned by their son Amit Jogi shown as dependent on them. He possesses Rs 20,000 cash, Rs 2,154 in bank and a plot worth Rs 75 lakh in Gurgaon.
