Training programme on prevention of drug abuse
Chandigarh, Nov 4 (UNI) A three-day training programme on primary prevention of drug abuse and drug driven HIV/AIDS for the teachers and lecturers of schools is being organised by Bhartiya Grammen Mahila Sangh, Haryana and Department of Education, Haryana at Chandigarh from November 6 to 8.
Stating this here today, a spokesman for the Bhartiya Grameen Mahila Sangh, Haryana State Branch, said that in this programme participants would be trained how to curb the drug menace and crime prevailing in the society. The ultimate beneficiaries of this programme would be school children.
Mr Anurag Rastogi, Commissioner and Director, Education Department, Haryana would be the Chief Guest and Ms Neerja Shekhar, Director, Women and Child Development Department would be the Guest of Honour at the inaugural function on November 6.
Mr K K Khandelwal, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Commissioner and Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department would be the Chief Guest of the valedictory function on November 8.
