Bangalore, Nov 4 (UNI) Karnataka drew early blood after crushing to a comfortable 365 all out in the first innings and reduced Railways to 110 for four at close on the second day of the Elite 'B' group match for Ranji Trophy played at M Chinnaswamy stadium here today.
At close Skipper Sanjay B Bangar (53) was at the crease.
Earlier, resuming at overnight total of 264/6, the hosts added 101 runs, thanks mainly to debutnut Manish Pandey's superb (64) half century in his 194 minutes facing 147 balls and hitting six boundaries. Pandey, partnering with spinner Sunill B Joshi added valuable 66 runs for eighth wicket, before falling to leg before to Karthik.
Test discard Murali Karthik, who had claimed three wickets yesterday, scalped two more wickets today to finish with five wicket haul conceeding 83 runs.
