New Delhi, Nov 4 (UNI) FICCI today said it is setting up a Task Force to work with the High Level Committee announced by the Prime Minister yesterday which will address the current economic situation.
''FICCI is creating a group that will engage with all regional and other trade organisations covering SMEs and exporters, and this group will interface with the government committee to seamlessly communicate challenges of SMEs/exporters in addition to other industry sectors,'' Mr Rajeev Chandrasekhar, MP and President, FICCI said.
The committee would see representation from senior officials from Chambers of Commerce, Industry Associations, Exporters, Small, Medium and Large enterprises affiliated to FICCI.
The committee would have representation from all regions of the country and from all major industry groups.
Through its nation wide network of Chambers of Commerce and Associations, FICCI will mobilise its membership across the country and all sectoral associations to provide inputs to this Task Force for communication with the Special Committee to bring out the concerns of Indian industry at all levels.
The Task Force will also carry out nationwide surveys to assess trends in production, sales, exports, and investments and present the results to the government.
This Task Force will work intensively and urgently to provide all possible inputs to the government on the dynamics across industries.
Mr Chandrasekhar, who participated in the government industry deliberations called by the Prime Minister yesterday, said the constitution of this group is particularly important today as things are changing very fast and it is important that inputs from all levels are gathered so that corrective action can be taken well in time.
