Chiranjeevi assures solace to Girijans if he comes to power
Warangal, Nov 4 (UNI) Praja Rajyam Party President Chiranjeevi today assured Girijans and other sections of the people that he would strive to improve their lot if his party was voted to power in the next Assembly elections.
Addressing a series of roadside meetings in Warangal district, the actor-turned politician promised the people that he would not politicise issues concerning them. He would sincerely put in efforts to solve their problems.
Innocent Girijans continued to suffer silently with the so called benefits promised by the Congress Government, not not reaching them, the actor, who visited Mallempalli, Mahboobabad and Medaram in the district, alleged.
''It is a fact the benefits intended for Girijans are not reaching them'', he charged.
Earlier, he expressed solidarity with the cotton growers, who complained to the actor that the Cotton Corporation of India(CCI) was rejecting most of their produce contending that it was of poor quality.
The actor promised ensured them that remunerative price would be paid to their produce if his party was voted to power.
The actor also visited Medaram famous for ''Samakka, Sarakka Jatra'' and offered 83 Kg of jaggery, equal to his weight.
