JK: Two BSF jawans killed cross border firing

Jammu, Nov 4: Two jawans of the Border Security Force (BSF) were wounded in firing from across the border when they opened fire on seeing suspicious movement on Indo-Pak International Border in Jammu Sector, sources on Tuesday, Nov 4 said. ''On noticing a movement of armed militants from across the border near Durga Border Outpost in Makwar area last night, the BSF jawans opened fire, which was retaliated, triggering a cross firing in which two jawans sustained injuries,'' sources told sources.

However, the infiltration bid was foiled by the alert troops after nearly two and a half hours continue firing, sources added.

Infiltration from Pakistan is on rise ensuing Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections while many attempts are being made by the militants to sneak into the Indian Territory from bordering belts of Jammu region.
