TN routs Mah bowling, scores 377 on day 1

Nashik, Nov 3 (UNI) Tamil Nadu openers routed the inexperienced bowling attack of Maharashtra and scored 377 runs for no loss on day one of the Ranji match here today.

The two Tamil Nadu openers M Vijay and Abhinav Mukund literally destroyed the Maharashtra bowling. Vijay scored 202 runs, studded with 23 fours and five sixes. Abhinav Mukund scored 164 runs, which included 19 fours and two sixes.

Both the batsmen played all the cricket book shots in their innings and mesmerised the audience. The score was 138 for no loss at lunch and 239 for no loss at tea.

Maharashtra had no answer to the batting powers of the two. Both the batsmen were unbeaten at the close of day one.
