JK: SPO among 3 with 4 kg heroin
Jammu, Nov 3: Three narcotic smugglers, including a Special Police Officer (SPO), were arrested by the police along with four kg of heroin in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, police sources on Monday, Nov 3 said.
''A special nakka was laid down by the police at Solani bridge yesterday and three smugglers were apprehended, along with four-kg of heroin, worth Rs 20 crore in the international market, from their possession,'' the sources told UNI.
The accused have been identified as Bashir Ahmed, a Special Police Officer (SPO) with STF Kulgam, resident of Trehgam, Kulgam, Mohd Sabir, resident of Rajouri and Mohd Yaqub, resident of Shopian, Srinagar.
The seized consignment of heroin was being smuggled from Bandipora while a case under NDPS Act has been registered against the smugglers.
