Silver rises, gold eases on bullish advice

Mumbai, Nov 3: Silver gained by Rs 150 to Rs 17,615 per kg in the opening session on Monday, Nov 3 from its previous close, traders in the Bombay Bullion Association said.

While, gold declined slightly by Rs 40 to Rs 11,755 per ten gm on sluggish demand. In Asian markets, a reverse trend was seen as gold was quoted higher at USD 733.00/733.50 (730.00/731.25) per troy ounce while silver fell USD 9.80/9.82 (9.85/9.86) per troy ounce respectively. Gold rose on Monday, Nov 3 following steadier US dollar, traders informed. Following are the spot silver and gold closing prices: Silver (per kg) .999 grade: Rs 17,615 Gold (per 10 gm): Standard mint 99.5 purity: Rs 11,755 Pure gold 99.9 purity: Rs 11,845.
