Bhopal, Nov 3 (UNI) As filing of nominations commenced on October 30 for the Assembly elections in 230 constituencies of Madhya Pradesh, a total of 49 nominations had been filed in the first two days in 29 districts, official sources said today.
As many as six nominations had been filed in Balaghat district, followed by three each in Rewa, Betul, Indore and Mandsaur, two each in Bhind, Guna, Mandla, Seoni, Raisen, Bhopal and Ujjain and one each in Morena, Gwalior, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Panna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Anuppur, Katni, Hoshangabad, Vidisha, Sehore, Shajapur, Dhar and Neemuch.
November 7 is the last date for filing of nominations. Major political parties including Congress and BJP had issued first list of its candidates, while they were still engaged in finalising the final list amid reports about dissidents raising the banner of revolt at many places.
