Hyderabad, Nov 3 (UNI) All India Congress Committee (AICC) Secretary and MP Vundavilli Arun Kumar today demanded that the Andhra Pradesh government order an inquiry into the alleged purchase of land by former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's mother and his wife without verifying the veracity of the documents.

Addressing a press conference here, he alleged that Mr Naidu's mother Ammanamma had purchased five acres of land in Survey no 51 at Madinaguda village in Ranga Reddy district from J Panduranaga Vittal in December 2000 at a cost of Rs 35 lakh.

Later, a gift deed was presented and registered in December 2001 in Hyderabad, executed by Ms Ammanamma in the name of her grandson and Mr Naidu's son N Lokesh.

Though a gift under Section 123 of T.P Act was a compulsorily attestable document, this document had no attestation, he pointed out.

The Congress leader alleged that five acres of land in the same survey number was transferred in the name of N Bhunaveswari, Mr Naidu's wife, on April 29, 2004 by V Nagaraju Nayadu, Director of Heritage foods, who purchased the land from J Bhasakra Rao, without verifying the genuineness of the documents, in the name of his wife and daughter.

Claiming that the original owner of the lands Ranveer and his family members were living in constant fear as their lands were grabbed by influential people, he urged the government to conduct a thorough inquiry to help the poor family who lost their lands.
