Kolkata, Nov 3 (UNI) A 15-member Myanmar Army delegation, headed by Brigadier Tin Maung Ohn, will arrive here on November 5 for the Bi-annual Indo-Myanmar Liaison meeting.
A release issued here today by the Press Information Bureau (Defence Wing) said the delegation, which entered the country from Myanmar through Moreh (Manipur) border, will arrive at Kolkata from Dimapur in Nagaland and be in the city upto November 6.
During their visit to Kolkata, the delegation would meet Lt Gen V K Singh, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Command, and Lt Gen P K Goel, Chief of Staff Eastern Command.
The Indian Army and Myanmar Army have had bilateral visits with thawing of relationship exchange programmes, biannual conferences and training exercises have been held between the two Armies in recent years.
