Bellary, Nov 3 (UNI) In view of uncertainty over the next general elections, the BJP would stretch its election campaign beyond the Assembly elections to be held in six states beginning later this month, Senior leader L K Advani said today.
Speaking to reporters while taking part in the Hampi Utsav at the heritage site near here, the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate said for all practical purpose the party would carry on the election campaign beyond the Assembly polls.
''We will keep the momentum and take it forward till the election is held to the Lok Sabha whenever the UPA decides on it, possibly in 2009,'' the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha said.
Mr Advani, who inaugurated the Hampi Utsav said the poll plank of his party would revolve around issues like terrorism, which the Congress-led UPA government had totally failed to combat, failure on all fronts, tackle inflation and rising prices of essential commodities.
The BJP leader was accompanied by his wife Kamala Advani and daughter Pratibha as special guests for the three-day Utsav.
