Patna, Nov 2: Railway Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad on Sunday, Nov 2 called for en masse resignation of MPs, MLAs and MLCs of all political parties from Bihar and launching a nationwide struggle to protect the interest of Biharis in the wake of unabated violence against them.

Mr Prasad told mediapersons here that some disruptive elements in Maharashtra were making attack on Biharis posing serious threat to unity and integrity of the country. ''On the initiative of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, all party delegation from Bihar had also submitted a joint memorandum to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh urging him to ensure safety and security of Biharis in Maharshtra'', he added.

''United approach of all political parties from the state on continued violence against Biharis had sent a good message across the country'', Mr Prasad said but lamented that decision of JD(U) to submit resignation of its Lok Sabha MPs had eroded the unity of all political parties on the issue.

The RJD president dubbed the decision of JD(U) MPs to resign as a political gimmick played at the instance of Mr Kumar as the term of Lok Sabha was about to expire shortly.

''If Mr Kumar is really concerned to protect the interests of Biharis in Maharsahtra, he should ask for resignations of all, MPs, MLAs and MLCs from Bihar'', Mr Prasad said.

''I appeal to all political parties from Bihar to seek resignation of its MPs, MLAs and MLCs on the issue by November 15'', Mr Prasad said adding he was also ready to seek resignation of MPs, MLAs and MLCs from his party and launch united nationwide struggle to protect the interest Bihar.
