Mumbai, Nov 2 (UNI) Four robbers decamped with gold ornaments, worth lakhs of rupees, from a jewellery shop situated at Khar, a western suburb of the city today.
The robbery occurred at around 1000 hrs at Dinesh Jewellers in Chving village in Khar, when the four men got off a car and made away with the jewellery after threatening the owner and staff of the shop with revolvers, Khar police station sub-inspector P Sonawne said ''We are preparing sketches of the foursome and will nab them soon,'' he added.
The total worth of the stolen ornaments is estimated to be over Rs 25 lakh, police said.
A special team was formed for investigation of the incident, which is the second major incident of robbery within two weeks.
Earlier, Mamta Jewellers in Vakola was looted of jewellery and valuables worth Rs 50 lakh.
