London, Nov 2 : 'X Factor' judge Cheryl Cole has a second family that she shares with her divorced dad, Garry Tweedy, it has been revealed.
The Girls Aloud singer has mentioned about the three brothers and a sister her mum raised with her after the split with the star's painter and decorator dad.
Now, it has been revealed that the 25-year-old nurtured her dad's new family away from the spotlight of her showbiz career.
"Lots of people assume that just because Cheryl doesn't talk much about her dad that there's some sort of bad blood from her parents' divorce," the Daily Star quoted a family friend, as saying.
"But nothing could be further from the truth. She's got a whole second family that the world just doesn't know about," the friend added.
Cheryl was just a kid when her father Garry and mum Joan parted ways.
Garry, 45, went on to wed Joanne Baker, 37, when Cheryl was 19 and taking her first steps towards stardom.
"Cheryl was distraught when her parents split up. She lived with her mum but always kept in touch with her dad," the friend said.
Garry and Joanne, Cheryl's new stepbrother Lee, 21, and stepsister Gemma, 17, lived in a small, end-of-terrace house just two miles from Cheryl.
The singer grew so close to her dad's new family that five years ago she was a bridesmaid when Garry married care worker Joanne.
