9th National Women Boxing Chamiponship begins in UP

Agra, Nov 2 (UNI) The Ninth National Women Boxing championship was kicked-off here today in the presence of Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Narayan Singh Suman.

On the occasion, Suman encouraged the women players and ask for their contribution into the game.

The UP team comprise Rekha Rawat of Moradabad district as the captain, besides Monika Kashyap, Pooja Rani, Pooja Singh, Pravita Chahar and Meena Kumari as other players.

Anuradha, Deepika and Kavita Gaur have been kept in reserve, according to Indian Women Boxing Federation sources.

A total of 29 teams are participating in the championship.
