Srinagar, Nov 2 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police promoted twelve of its personnel to next rank while one officer was given cash reward for showing extra-ordinary courage during anti-militancy and other operations in the-valley.

Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda today pined up ranks and handed over promotion orders to 12 police personnel of Srinagar, Budgam, Kupwara and Handwara districts, a police spokesman said.

A cash reward of Rs 25,000 was given to one Sub Inspector from Srinagar district.

The police personnel, who were promoted to next ranks included constable Harpal Singh, Sunil Kumar, Sharief Din and Ajit Dhar of Srinagar district. Constable Parvaiz Ahmad and Mushtaq Ahmad of Budgam district, selection grade constable Farooq Ahmad of Kupwara district, selection grade constable Mohammad Rafiq, constable Tufail Ahmad, constable Showkat Ahmad, constable Mohammad Abbas and constable Sageer Ahmad of Police district.
