Star Plus launches Marathi entertainment channel 'Star Pravah'

Mumbai, Nov 1 (UNI) Star Entertainment Media Private Limited (SEMPL) has launched a new general entertainment channel, ''Star Pravah'' in Marathi language here.

Addressing mediapersons on the occasion yesterday, SEMPL Executive Vice-President and General Manager J C Giri said, ''Pravah, which means flow, in Marathi, will reflect the cultural pride of the people of Maharashtra and aspirations of each generation and set benchmarks in multi-genre content on regional television.'' The channel will telecast eight new shows that include talk shows, historical epics and comedy shows.
