Mumbai, Nov 1 (UNI) Even though Gujarat police gave a clean chit to Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur in Modasa blast case late last night, scientific tests on her continued for the second day today in connection with Malegaon blast at Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) of Kalina University in north west Mumbai.
Polygraphy tests of Sadhvi Pragya and two other accused -- Sameer Kulkarni and Ramesh Upadhyay -- would be conducted today at the FSL, official sources said.
Nothing concrete came out of the brain mapping test conducted yesterday, so the second round of tests are being conducted today, the sources said.
After giving a clean chit to the Sadhvi in Modasa blast, that occurred on September 29, killing one person and injuring eight others, Sabarkanta Deputy Superintendent of Police K K Mysorewalla, a member of Gujarat Police team, said, ''We interrogated Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur. But, since we did not get any substantiating evidence to prove her involvement in the Modasa bomb blast, we don't want her custody for further interrogation in that case.'' The ATS (Anti Terrorist Squad) officials had initially arrested three people along with the Sadhvi for their alleged involvement in the Malegaon and Modasa blasts, which took place on the same day.
