Kolkata, Nov 1 (UNI) Coach Shabbir Ali further reorganised Mohammedan Sporting's citadel, recruiting Jammu and Kashmir's central defender Washim ahead of tomorrow's game against East Bengal at Yuva Bharati Krirangan.

As the city's two big clubs meet halfway of their first leg of the Indian League, the coaches are on huge pressure from club officials and fans to produce results.

East Bengal after fifth round collected seven points and local Premier League runners up Md Sporting's bagged five, projecting their abysmal performance so far in the 12-team competition.

Since Anit Ghosh and Madhav Das had been taken on loan from Peerless SC, Md Sporting defence line improved pretty well. They drew with Mohun Bagan 1-1 and beat Mahindra United 1-0. And now getting J and K defender Washim, Md Sporting defence line appeared sound in at least in paper.

Ali was quite optimistic about scoring ability of Mike Okoro, who scored the lone goal for the winner aagainst Mahindra United, and Theodore Sunday, who was the highest scorer in the local league, could not make much headway in the natinal league so far. Adebayo, another African, in the midfield was still a vauable support to defence and upfront.

East Bengal appeared to be getting all right with new coach Stanley Rozario after 2-0 win over Vasco and played 1-1 with Mohun Bagan in the last game. But many believe that East Bengal, a side with five India-Internationals are under performing.

East Bengal are expected to field first eleven against home rivals as midfielder Renedy Singh is back to support Sunil-Yukubu combination.

Goalkeeper Subrata Paul, although a bit sick with mild fever still insists on playing in the derby match. With Surkumar Singh absence after the right back was red carded against Mohun Bagan, Syed Rahim Nabi, the scorer against Bagan, would play in that position and Soumik Dey on the left and central defender Suley Musha.
