New Delhi, Nov 1 (UNI) The employees of All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan are divided over a strike announced by the Director General (DG) AIR, and DDG's/directors against the decision of Ministry of I&B to implement IB(P)S rules 1990.

According to Mr Pramod Mehta, founder president of Programme Staff Welfare Association (PSWA) of AIR and DD, their association is a registered body whereas the DG's Programme Staff Association (PSA) of AIR and DD is not registered.

Mr Mehta has demanded to lodge an FIR against such a dubious association which is trying to scuttle the implementation of the I7B's promotion rules as they have been illegally promoted.

He alleged that the members of the PSA are playing a double role violating conduct rules and do not want that review DPC should be conducted and IBPS rules clause 7(6)(b)(i)7(ii) be implemented, which will enable discipline-wise promotions.

Mr Mehta said they have not participated in any strike announced by the PSA on October 10 against the government order to implement the IBPS rules and also condemn the association as it is an illegal unregistered organisation misguiding the employees.

Meanwhile, he has demanded a disciplinary action against the PSA while alleging that it is illegally instigating the employees to join the agitation on behest of the Prasar Bharti's top officers and is misleading the government on the other hand.
