Raman regrets not meeting Jogi in electoral battlefield
Raipur, Oct 31 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh today said his desire to defeat MP and former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi in electoral battlefield was left unfulfilled with the latter backtracking on his previous announcement to contest against him.
Dr Singh told UNI here that Mr Jogi had announced to contest against him but backtracked at the last moment.
He said he does not talk in the language of challenge but Mr Jogi kept on challenging him. So, he felt that contest should take place this time.
However, Mr Jogi has filed his nomination from reserved seat instead of general seat.
''I kept waiting for Mr Jogi to enter electoral battlefield till the last date of filing nomination but he did not come,'' he added.
On Mr Jogi being star campaigner for the Congress, Dr Singh said it was good that at least he could contest Mr Jogi here.
He would speak about his government during the campaign. People would get an opportunity to compare into his five-year-rule and the three-year-rule of Mr Jogi.
