Patiala, Oct 31 (UNI) Patiala defeated Ferozepur on the basis of first innings lead of 67 runs in the Punjab Inter-District women's cricket championship at the Army cricket ground here today.
Overnight 39 for 1 in 17 overs, Patiala scored 193 for 9 in 83.2 overs, which featured a brilliant century (108) by Moksha Chowdhary.
Her knock was embellished with 12 fours. The 9th wicket partnership between Moksha Chowdhary and Bhupinder Kaur yielded 86 runs.
For Ferozpur, Parveen Khan bowled well to capture 4 wickets, conceding 49 runs, Mandeep Kaur took 3 for 38 and Jagdeep Kaur bagged 2 wickets, giving away 52 runs.
Patiala had yesterday skittled out Ferozepur for 126 runs.
