Port Blair, Oct 31 (UNI) The Islands Protection Forum (IPF) delegation, which is heading for New Delhi for protesting against some policies of Andaman and Nicobar Administration, has reached Chennai.

The Island Protection Forum (IPF) will be demonstrating in front of Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on November 4. IPF has been demanding job security to the unemployed youths of Andaman and Nicobar Islands by re-introducing domicile policy.

''Due to failure of Andaman and Nicobar Administration to address these crucial and long pending demands we are bound to highlight our problems in New Delhi. We are also planning to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with our grievances,'' M T Mustafa, president of Island Protection Forum told UNI today.

The organisation run by the youths of these far flung islands is also demanding introduction of Inner-line permit to check influx of population, immediate recruitment on all vacant posts in the administration assured by the Prime Minister during his 2005 visit (soon after Tsunami) and to continue existing pattern of seat allotment for island students till the establishment of medical and engineering colleges here.

On August 30, Island Protection Forum (IPF) had organised a peace rally in Andaman to press for their demands and had given 30 days time to the Andaman and Nicobar Administration to address these long pending demands.

Around 100 members of IPF and other allied organisations are expected to join the protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
