HP govt inks agreement with Samtech for 2 projects in IT sector

Shimla, Oct 31 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government today signed an agreement with Samtech Infonet Ltd for executing two major projects in the Information Technology (IT) sector.

These projects are development of AGRISNET Portal and Application and Development of Application for Departmental Court Case Monitoring System.

IT Director Subhasish Panda signed the agreement on behalf of the Himachal Pradesh government in the presence of IT Secretary B K Aggarwal.

Mr Aggarwal said that the proposed system would maintain a database of information about various activities of the departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries.

He said that video conferencing facility will be provided to the farmers to interact with experts in the filed of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries.

Mr said that the objective behind Case Monitoring Software was to provide online information about current status of cases and to help the departments to take remedial action to reduce delays and to avoid further litigations.
